God Handles the Wicked

January 1, 2021

“In just a little while, the wicked will be no more; though you look carefully at his place, he will not be there. But the meek shall inherit the land and delight themselves in abundant peace.”

Psalm 37:10-11

God says it won’t be long until He deals with the wicked. We will wonder where they went, but they won’t be around to cause us any grief.

The devil comes against Christians in a variety of ways. We talk about religious persecution and how Christians are mocked for loving God, but the devil comes against Christians in less obvious ways, as well.

In business, for example, we are often treated poorly by competitors, colleagues, clients, or those who should be working hand-in-hand with us to create successful transactions. Usually, people who act so nasty and vicious aren’t following The Lord (or they would know how ungodly that behavior is).

Christians (should!) treat everyone (yes, even competitors, nonbelievers, or those who are vicious to us first) with respect and kindness. We weren’t called to be timid or fearful, and we don’t have to sit by timidly as we’re disrespected. However, as Christians, we should state our defense in a calm and peaceful manner, and be ready to step away so God can step in.

God is dealing with the wicked. Let Him defend you!

Those who are in competition against you and mock you for your love of God, or who hate you for your success, or who treat you with animosity out of jealousy won’t be around forever… God is dealing with them.

Those who blame you for a transaction gone wrong because they don’t want to take the blame for their own mistakes, or who think they’ll look better in the eyes of the client if they make unjust demands of you, or who neglect to appreciate your hard work and effort won’t be around forever… God is dealing with them.

God says, His gentle and kindhearted people will be prosperous. We will have joy and peace.

Stay in your lane. Focus on you! Be the best representative of Jesus you can be in all situations (even when you’re treated badly) and think about your walk with Christ. We have the perfect model of God through Jesus! Be like Him. Be bold and courageous, always ready to flip a table for God if the situation calls for it… but when it comes to your own battles, let God fight for you. He will handle your enemies.

Be professional, courteous, kind and understanding with everyone you do business with. Lead others to Jesus through your compassion! Remember, your whole life (to include your career) is your ministry. Preach well.

God will bless you!
